We collect, or you post it to us
We strip and test the machine rather than guessing at the fault, then ring you with what's wrong, what it costs, and whether it's worth doing. If the repair costs more than the laptop's worth, we'll tell you, and there's nothing to pay for finding out.
Everything we fit carries twelve months. Labour is covered for ninety days on the same fault.

These cover mainstream models. Ultrabooks, MacBooks and gaming laptops with soldered or bonded parts run higher, and we'll tell you before ordering anything.
Before we collect it
- Have the charger ready. A fair few dead laptops turn out to be a dead power supply.
- Know your Windows PIN, or the Apple ID that's signed in.
- Tell us what happened just before it went wrong.
Back your data up first if you can. We're careful, but a drive that's already failing can go at any point and no repair can promise otherwise.
What we don't take on
Phones, tablets, consoles and printers. We don't do board-level micro-soldering either. If that's what your machine needs, we'll tell you straight away and point you at someone who does it.

Common questions
How long does a laptop repair take?
Most repairs, including screens, batteries and keyboards, are back with you within 24 to 48 hours. It can take longer if a part needs ordering for an uncommon model, and we'll tell you at diagnosis if that applies.
Do you repair MacBooks as well as Windows laptops?
Yes, both. Apple parts and unibody designs can take a little longer and cost more than a standard Windows laptop, which we'll explain before any work starts.
What if it turns out not to be worth repairing?
Diagnosis is free either way. If the repair costs more than the laptop's worth, we'll say so and there's nothing to pay.
Do I need to back up my data first?
If you can, yes. We're careful with drives, but a failing drive can go at any point, so backing up anything irreplaceable beforehand is the safest approach.
